Snap, slow, or split? Tips for strategic decision-making…
Greetings, Ninja!

Good decision-makers aren’t either instinctual or analytical. They’re strategic.

Lunchtime sandwich order? They go with their gut (literally). Not just because ham and cheese on rye versus a veggie wrap is a low-stakes call — but because making a quick decision in their comfort zone is great practice for when they venture out of it.

Received an *almost* consensus on a work project? They charge ahead. Because they know that besides perfection, there exists no greater urban legend than 100% agreement.

New to leading a team? They pump the brakes. Then, they look, listen, and learn — because taking action before getting a proper sense of workplace dynamics can lead to failure (and do a number on their credibility).

So, think fast! Or, take your time. Accurately define the situation and you’ll land on the right foot.

Making good decisions is a lot like the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears: There’s too fast, too slow, and just right. The good news? These three decision-making strategies can land you in the "just right" camp.
In a perfect world, you’d have all the time you need to make the best decisions. But sometimes you have to act quickly. Improve your snap decision-making skills with these four tips.
Collaboration has many benefits, but it can also get in the way of decision-making — especially for people who crave a consensus. Learning to let go can help everyone move forward.
